Escort defaults the RL360 on Ka to 2/5/8; some add 4/6 for drifting. It is a good idea to run a wide as you can for starters. Enjoy
Thanks ! Yes I’m using it locally to and from work to get a better idea. I’ve been confirming red light and speed cameras on the app as I go along. I did turn X on because when I make a casino run it’s in PA and I go through Jersey lol. I’ll check 4 and 6 and turn them on

One question is since I’m not on the actual street with the camera should I tap there or not there. I’m afraid if I tap not there it won’t warm me of that particular camera if I’m on the actual service road. I live in New York and they are everywhere lol !
I also live in NY and that is the #1 MOST ANNOYING problem with ALL of the GPS based escort radar detectors!

Escort has had this EXACT problem for the LAST 14+ YEARS!!! In ALL of their GPS radar detector products since the 9500ix (2008).

There is an EASY fix for this problem, but escort refuses to do it even though it won't cost them a penny (other then a little one-time software programming)

This can be easily solved by adding a "Maximum Speed" setting for the red-light camera (RLC) alerts. This way you could set it to "60", so if you are driving faster than 60, it will not alert you to RLC alerts because it will assume you are driving on a highway that does not have red lights on it. And if you are traveling less than 60, it will assume you are NOT on a highway and are probably on a regular road that has RLCs on it, so it WILL notify you.

This simple feature would make using escort radars much more enjoyable and SAFER because when a radar detector emits too many false alerts, you tend to start blocking them out, which can cause you to block out the important ones too!

Hello and welcome. X band can appear anywhere in NJ. PA is K band and Radar is only used by the State Police. The DRPA uses Ka band they patrol the bridges and approaches.

Good iuck and enjoy!

I would like to think the GPS can differentiate that your on the highway and not the service road. But whatever I’ll get used to it. I will say the red light camera and speed camera data base has been excellent. In my neighborhood they actually moved one speed camera down the block to throw people off and the live data base had the new location and the old one. I hit not there for the old location and there for the new one.

GPS for consumer use is not pinpoint accuracy like military. That is why you will have proximity the GPS receiver knows the coordinates within a margin not the road or lane. When you are on a limited access road you will get alerts for the surface streets. You might notice a camera alert when approaching an intersection with the camera on the opposite side.

Lol yes I’m getting used to it. If your driving the same highway to work everyday you know what alerts your getting. Although it won’t lock out a camera once you know you ignore it and concentrate and look for other alerts that may be cops. I’m going to get the laser shifters soon for added protection if anything ever comes back in stock lol. Seems like anything good like the redline 360c and laser shifters is out of stock. I know I know the supply chain the pandemic same thing everyone’s falling back on these days to not work rlmao
