EL loses connection with detector when minimized

My EL app running on my GalaxyS21 Ultra loses connection with the detector every time I minimize the app, why is this?

Seems that at least some, by posts I've read here, Samsung phones seem to have more issues than other brands.

You might give Escort Radar customer service a call right after they open at 1-800-543-1608, option 2, available from 9am-5:30pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri. Wait for the pause following the message and use the option for a call back.
