My Max 360 was registered 1 year ago and the subscription has expired.
The device is functional except for Speed Limit display, generally whatever the subscription provides. 1. Subscription fails to renew. I purchased the $50 subscription from EL app. Card got charged but subscription wasn’t activated. I then purchased 1 year subscription from the web support page $24.- (note this is not the EL $50 subscription). Card got charged but subscription wasn’t activated either. 2. Firmware update failed. I downloaded the Detector Tool for Mac. The serial number lights up green. However, the check for eligible firmware is hung (progress bar is stuck). I click the manual U icon, progress bar moves but ends with Update Failed message. 3. Subscription expired message shows when I restart the EL app. Even though I have a detector connected? Some Qs: Why are there 2 subscription places with different prices? Which one to use? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As far as I know Escort still does not charge owners of Live enabled detectors for a Live subscription. Live is a phone app, you need to be connected and running the Live app to use Live. Defender is a database of traffic cameras and speed traps that resides in the detector.
You are going to have to call Escort Customer service to get your Live subscription straightened out. No one here can straighten out Live subscription issues. Ask for help with your failed firmware update while you are on the phone getting help with your Live subscription. Quote:

So to be sure I subscribed to the $50 plan _and_ the $24 plan. I’m assuming the $24 is the defender plan as it’s not available from the EL app. Only the $50 plan is available from the EL app.
To make it even more confusing I’ve seen messaging that “Premium” plan is free so long as you have a RD connected to the EL app. Well none of the above works … LOL ☺️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Like I said you will then need to grab your phone and call Escort customer service.
Escort's customer service can get your Live subscription issue taken care of but you will need to call them. No one here in the forum can resolve the Live premium subscription issue, we do not have access to Escort's computer system. Give Escort Radar customer service a call right after they open at 1-800-543-1608, option 2, available from 9am-5:30pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri. Wait for the pause following the message and use the option for a call back. Yes, it appears you bought a $24.95 one year Defender subscription from Escort. You paid Apple $50 for a Premium Live subscription so Apple got the money. Escort is unable to do a refund. You might try asking Apple for a refund. Same applies to purchases from Google Play. Good news. Talked to a CS, turns out I had 2 accounts with different email addresses.
We consolidated the subscriptions under a single account and deleted the extra account. Took a drive and the subscription worked. The kind lady extended my subscription until 2025. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
