MaxCam - No Coverage or Repair Options after 12 mo.

Just finished speaking with Escort CS on another matter. I knew there was no ESP for MaxCam offered but I was shocked when they told me that the 3-Tier Repair Service is not available for MaxCam.
So, if after 12 months, something goes wrong, you can't even send MaxCam into Escort for repair.
C'mon Escort...you need to do better

I suspect, pure conjecture on my part, the Maxcam 360 will be added to the List of Repairable Devices a bit before it's been out for 12 months.

CS said no. I asked. Because it is a combo unit, they aren’t set up to repair them

Gail (CEO of Cedar Electronics) just indicated that they are working on adding support options beyond the current 1 year warranty period.

Yes its great that she reached out and responded and it is great news that there will be an extended service plan ("ESP") and repair options for after the 1 year warranty expiration.
She did not say when it will be announced but it will be offered to all existing MaxCam original owners.

Escort has always offered repair service for their detectors. I suspect that it might take a bit of time for them to get set up to repair the MaxCam 360c due to the camera. Training and availability of needed parts for repairs takes a while these days.

My understanding is that until they are set up to do repairs on the MaxCam 360 they have and will continue to replace with a new unit during the warranty period.

After they are setup to do repairs then they evidently will be set up to offer the extended warranty.
