Multi radar question

I live in NYC and for the last year have had multi radar CD and CT turned on; based on suggestions from Vortex on his site for recommended redline 360c settings.

I finally had enough yesterday of all the false alerts, which caused me to ignore most of the real ones as a result reducing its effectivenes. I decided to purchase the defender subscription since the cost for 3 years is the price of 1 speed camera ticket in NYC, and sanity from silence is priceless lol. I'm hoping between Waze which should also help with speed cameras, a now updated defender database, and manually marking known speed cameras, that I should be ok.

My question is, specific to NYC, is either multi radar CD or CT more likely to false than the other, again specific to NYC and surround areas? Meaning should I only have been running one and not both? The recommendation was to run both. I will test out both individually, but thought I'd ask the forum as well.

I am not sure, but I think you're on the right track. Test it yourself and see how things go. I am just glad that at the moment I do not have the issue that you do. I understand how annoying the false alerts can be.

I tried testing just multi radar CD and CT by themselves. At first CD produced false alerts and missed some cameras. CT was better at first and had less falses and did pick up cameras, but then started to miss some and had falses. I tried CD again and that seemed to not false for a while. It seems to be a mixed bag.

Between defender and Waze, I decided to turn off multi radar though as I want the quiet and will pay the $51 if I get a camera ticket 🤞🏻
