The video below is a informative tutorial on the different RJ series of connectors used in the Escort power cords. This includes the RJ11 used by both the Direct Wire Cord (2 connector red/green) & SmartCord (4 connector red/green/black/yellow) plus the RJ12 used by the SmartCord Live (6 connector red/green/black/yellow/white/blue). The RJ12 is backwards compatible with the RJ11 because it contains all possible connectors 2,4,or 6 even if less are used.
