Combining many of the advanced features of our popular Redline 360c radar detector with an integrated dash cam, the MAXcam 360c radar detector-dash cam combo is the perfect blend of hardware, software, and community to create a complete driver alert system that once again raises the bar and redefines what driving smarter means.

The MAXcam 360c exceeds expectations, combining a premium, high-performance radar detector with an integrated high-resolution QHD dash cam plus cloud video management. Driving smarter is all about having as much useful, reliable information as possible, so choosing a radar detector with a dash cam that is designed to function as one integrated unit gives you a comprehensive view of the road ahead – and around you.

Updates on the Drive Smarter® App
We recently launched a new version of the Drive Smarter® app that will soon become the unified technology platform that helps you drive smarter and safer, whether you’re a Cobra or Escort customer with a connected device or a standalone app user. Part of the work to build out the new platform will be incorporating the functionality of our existing apps, Cobra iRadar and Escort Live, as well as ensuring that all compatible Cobra and Escort devices work well with Drive Smarter.

Our goal is to constantly improve your Drive Smarter app experience by adding new features. Below you’ll find some items we intend to tackle with our next few app updates.

Live Alerts: Drive Smarter includes live alerts from our network of devices and community of drivers on the map screen. We will be making improvements to the positioning of the zone of shared alerts, while also increasing the size of the zone to better match the Escort Live experience. This will be in our next update in early October.

MAXcam 360c Device Settings: At launch, we’ve included camera settings for the MAXcam 360c so you can customize your camera experience. Detector settings will be included in an update in early October, but you can still access your detector and camera settings via the device menu and rotary knob on the device.

Gallery Timeline Thumbnails: The MAXcam 360c’s gallery timeline is accessible today, and we will be adding thumbnails to better identify clips in mid-October.

At launch, Drive Smarter is compatible with the MAXcam 360c, M2 radar-mounted smart dash cam, and the Cobra SC series of smart dash cams. Additional Escort detector compatibility will be added in Fall 2021. You will need to use Drive Smarter to connect to WiFi. Limited functionality will be available via Escort Live – such as the ability to adjust Settings remotely via the app and view Live Alerts. All features, including those related to device setup, video capture and management, are implemented or being added to the Drive Smarter app.

We are excited to continue improving the Drive Smarter platform and app experience with new and updated features to help you drive smarter and safer. We’ll continue to update this post for you with new information as it becomes available.

A lot of people will like the dual-band Wifi feature.

I just hope the "UPDATABLE IVT FILTER" updates will also be sent to my new RL360c or I won't be very happy

1. The MaxCam specifications show a single front and single rear antenna. Is this a part of the new M-13 design and if so how does it pick up X band which is also shown as part of the specs?

2. The original MAX 360c had dual front and dual rear antennas (quad). Has that M360c antenna been updated to a later model triple antenna as now shown in the Escort comparison page and if so does it have a different "M" number designation?

1. MAXcam uses the new M13 platform which has one front and one rear horn. Both horns detect all bands including X. Redline 360c is stealth requiring dual front horns. One horn is dedicated to X while the other K and Ka.

2. MAX 360c also uses one front and one rear horn (i.e. dual horns). It does not have quad horns.

Both RL360c and MAXcam 360c use the same processors so any IVT updates for one will also be available at around the same time for the other.

The Drive Smarter app needs fixing. My RedLine 360c works as it should in my BMW with the AT&T Spark set up. When I try to use the MaxCam in the BMW it will not work with the Spark WiFi.
To me it looks like the problem is in the Drive Smarter app it tells you that it's connected to the Max Cam but only a few of the features work. I was able to up date the firm ware to 1.6 on my computer but I get no red light speed cam info at all. The radar detector is not effected it's about as good as my Red Line with less false alerts.
Once Escort gets the app fixed this will be the best detector out there.

Escort is advertising for sale the MaxCam and Spark (AT&T) as a package for $949 on their website, so they must feel it works and/or you should be able to get Escort CS to help troubleshoot your MaxCam -Spark connection if you are having issues.

That said, I do believe Drive Smarter and cloud services (wifi) are two entirely separate issues right now.

We know that the only cloud service that Escort has working for MaxCam on wifi right now is firmware downloads, of which there have been two(2)...v1.5 and v1.6. They are are still trying to solve cloud services for PSL's, Live Alerts and Defender downloads.

If you want PSL's and/or Live Alerts, then you have to run DS or Escort Live; the later is arguably the more stable option right now. No alternative for Defender downloads right now.
