Unhappy Redline EX Antennae Stopped Working

This is my final attempt before I lose faith in Escort and switch into a competitor. I have a Redline EX, and I had to update its firmware to the latest one to use my ZW5s. After the update, the device started giving "Check Antennae" and after a few times it just stopped detecting radar. My detector now goes off with Ka/K band when literally right next to the radar gun (10 ft or so). Even worse, the signal is very weak. I have been having this issue since March, and have been trying to contact customer service for the past couple weeks. I am getting an automated "our wait queue is full, try back later" voice.

I urge some Escort representative to help me here and setup a service number so I can send my Redline EX for service.

Hope that this helps. Were you given the option to receive a call-back? Reports on the forum suggest that this is the quickest way to get in touch with Escort.

Yes ! For sure! As TBNTX said you want to do the call back option. It might be an hour or more but they'll call you back and you can get this straightened out. It sounds like you have somthing going on with your Radar Antenna that will need repaired.

Unhappy No callback option.

No, I was not given the chance to do the call back. The automated voice "mentions" it, but doesn't really give me an option to opt in for the call back.

I am also having the same problem. Been trying for ages.

My EX just plain doesn't work despite sitting beside a car with an active gun. My other detector right beside it functions just fine.

TIP: Call Escort Support as early in the morning after they open at 9:00 A.M. Eastern time. I called right at 9:00 and I was first in the queue,

The message can be a bit confusing. You actually need to wait. There is a pause following the message. The message system then tells you your number in the queue. Then it gives you the option for a call back....or it will tell you the call back queue is full. At this point, you can select callback or call later.

Again, this is not the case. There is ZERO option after it says the queue is full. Waiting after this message results in a hang up and dial tone.
