Default False Alarms

I have had my Max 360 for about a year. I have noticed that the number of false alarms in rapidly increasing at times it seems to be random and potentially coming from the active cruise control, distance meter, etc. of other cars.

I have not updated the firmware (don't know how to be honest) and don't believe that I have registered my unit as of yet.

Any and all help for the noob will be welcomed.

You need to update the software on your Max 360. It will drastically reduce false alerts to vehicles using this technology.

You do not need to register your detector to update its software. Simply download Detector Tools, install it on your computer, then run it. You will then need to have a USB data cord with a "Mini B" connector on it to connect the detector to your computer with. Do not use a power cord with the detector, only use the USB cord.

Detector Tools should recognize your detector and yell at you that it isn't registered, click OK on the prompt. The "Update Software" button should be green instead of grey. Click it and the update process should begin.

Many devices like digital cameras include these. If you need one any store that carries computer accessories should carry them. We also offer them.

Escort Radar customer service is available from 9am-5:00pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri at 1-800-543-1608 or you can fill out a repair form and we will contact you.
