Exclamation Detector Tools updated with Passport Max support

Detector Tools PC software has been updated to version 1.11.0

If you already have Detector Tools installed on your PC and an internet connection then you will be prompted to update Detector Tools when you run it.

Detector Tools v1.11.0 adds the following:

- Support for Passport Max
- The addition of an "Update All" button on the Advanced page. The "Update All" button forces software updates to all components of the connected detector. Only use this button if an update fails or if the software issue you are having was not resolved when using the normal Update button on the Main page. Update All will not create an issue but it can take substantially longer for the update to perform than when using the Update button on the Main page.

The Mac version of Detector Tools has not been updated at this time. We will make an announcement when the Mac version has been updated.

Good information, BUT this is another example of the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing...

I contacted Escort Customer Service via chat to find out about the Mac version of Detector Tools. All-in-all after the agent was rude to me, I was correct, and I did my best to help.

Read below...

>>Welcome to Escort Inc.! An online representative will be with you shortly. You are number 1 in the queue. Your wait time will be approximately 0 and 22 seconds. Thank you for waiting.

You are now chatting with 'Naeem'

Naeem: Hello. How may I help you today?

you: Can you tell me if the current version of Detector Tools for Mac and my Max (to arrive this coming Tues) will work together? Or is there a new version coming like the update for Detector Tool for Windows got today.

Naeem: The new Tools is ready and on the site.

you: For Mac? When I use the "Check for update" in my Mac version it shows no update available like it has for months now. Are you referring to the Windows version?

Naeem: For both

you: Okay, what is the link to get to the new Mac version on your web site I will go check it out.

Naeem: here, same locations as prior

you: Thank you for the link but perhaps you know something that I do not…

"This Mac Version of Detector Tools supports firmware, Defender updates, Download of True lock and Marked locations and Upload of Alert and Marked Locations for the Passport 9500i, PASSPORT 9500ix, PASSPORT 9500ci, Passport 8500ci Plus, SmartCord® Live, SmartRadar and Passport iQ."

you: The Max is not listed here.

Naeem: Understood, however to answer your original question is the Mac tools Max compatible, as I have answered, yes it is compatible. We received and email explaining this morning. Changes in the literature to the site will follow

you: Okay. Thank you for your time Naeem.

Naeem: no problem

Chat session has ended.

Naeem: same on line agent told me I could order a straight cig cord for Escort Live but said I had to order through Technical Service. When I called TS they said, "ah, no. We don't make The plug in Live cords in anything but coiled"

Depends on what you mean by "straight" cig cord for Live. They have the direct wire and cig adapter plug in. The plug in has a coiled part and a straight part so they were both correct in that regard.
Your question can be interpreted in two ways.
I'm not sure what you mean by straight cig cord for Live. Do you mean a cord to plug straight in? or do mean a Live cord that is straight without any coils?

I don't see how the text version was rude at all. Without audio it is just words on a screen. He told you as he was informed via email from superiors. Did he have a smarmy tone that we can't read?

Now I understand. Nope, they don't make a Live cord like that and you shouldn't get two different answers.
