I called escort to ask how many signals the Max will pick up in Exp Mode.....they told me " 8 same as the 9500ix" Really?! Cause the manual says only half of that 4.....how could a Co not know the product they are selling especially one that's been in development for at least 5yrs?

I believe it still "picks up" 8 but ranks and displays the 4 based on threat priority.

Bag, that is very possible but I don't recall reading it in the manual.

ExpertMeter ESCORT’s exclusive ExpertMeter option is also designed for the advanced detector user. To use the ExpertMeter instead of the Standard bar graph meter, you must select it (Expert) in Preferences. ExpertMeter simultaneously tracks up to four radar signals: Ka band, X band, K band and X band. It shows each signal along with a bar graph of its strength. ExpertMeter can help you spot a change in your normal driving environment (e.g., a traffic radar unit being operated in an area where there are normally other signals present).

That's very kind of you to say, mfs165. Thank you. I try to be unbiased and helpful, and I'm pretty quick to remove spammers.

Have a good weekend.

Thank you sir. Thanks for the MAX muanual. My MAX is going to the east coast because they can honestly wring it out. I can't do that on the west coast.

Thank goodness it has a dark mode for night time driving. That screen looks like a Christmas tree on steroids at night. Also wish there was some way to deactivate the speed over and current speed. It just produces too much light and my car has a setting for over speed anyway. It also tells me the voltage and I don't see any use and switching to that mode either. Then there is the huge ugly scanning Night Rider thing going on. The 9500ix has a scanning dot option that is much less noticeable and I wish the Max either had an option to turn that thing off or just show the scanning dot like the 9500.
