Hey friends. I am new to this forum and new to the countermeasure game. I live in Kentucky. I am older so I'm not a crazy speed demon, but I tend to, as many on here do, like to run above the PSL. Usually around 15 over. I have only used a cobra detector in the past and decided I wanted to completely change it up and stealth out my vehicle with the latest in technology.
I am making this post so I can show my install from beginning to end. I have a white vibe which is going to be hard to protect from lidar but I plan on making it everything it can be! My items I ordered are rapidly coming in from radar busters and as I get them in I will install and post pics. Pic one is of my installed Black bra on the front of my car to help reduce IR reflectivity. This will help with lidar. Second and third pics are of the install of my escort external speaker I will be using for my jammers. I placed it in the dash below and to the left of the steering column. I am not a professional installer so please don't be to critical of me. I do believe it turned out pretty good though. It is very secure and you would hardly notice it. Look for more pics soon!

I love the idea of blending the speaker into the panel like that!

Thanks Allow! I liked it as well! I will continue to post more pics as I get things done! I have had a @$%&(# of a time installing the smart cord into my dash. It has made me say a bad word or two! I also had difficulty in getting escort tools to work on my computer. Went to the library and it worked flawlessly! Weird! Now I have my escort 9500 ix installed on my blend mount on the bottom of my mirror. The smart cord is not installed yet. I had to order another one. I tried to cut the housing on it and glue it to the back of the dash. It never worked like the example I saw online. I will have to do mine different.
Lots more pics to come. Also are my pics to big? When I posted them they looked normal but when I clicked on the post they were huge.

I don't think the pictures are too big.
Let us know if you continue to have issues with Detector Tools on your computer. You may have to right click the shortcut and select "run as admin". Also try using a different USB port on your computer and be sure that you are not plugging it into a USB hub. It needs to plug directly into your computer. Some find it works best plugged into a rear USB port of a typical desktop computer design.

Thanks. I will try it again but I honestly don't mind dropping by the library on occasion and downloading the new updates. Also how often should I attempt to update my detector? Should I just wait until I receive an email from you all stating a new update is available? Got my jammers today. More pics to follow tomorrow. Also you all have developed an excellent detector in the 9500ix. I am very impressed at this point. I will add however that I agree with some post I have saw, that the warning distance for speed traps should be made larger! Could it be possible to see this in a future firmware update? Thanks Shannon |

Promised some more pics so here you go! I am done except for the laser veil G4. I have to admit I went with the LI jammers. I would love comments on my install. Please don't be super critical since I'm not a professional installer. I do how ever think it went really well and I'm happy with it!
