Hey escort users. Is there a way to run escort live via Bluetooth With my phone if I hard wired my detector with a rogue mirror mount?

You need the EscortLive hardware (coiled cord or DW module) to enable transfer of alert data from and to the detector. The SmartRadar has this hardware built into the detector.

I use the bluetooth coiled cord right now from my 12V outlet but if i get my detector hard wired in with a rogue mirror mount and run the power from the positive and negative wires running from my mirror to my detector to power it I dont want a coiled wire coming from my 12V up to my mirror for power to detector/live connection. I would like my radar to be connected by bluetooth to my phone for live without the coiled wire coming to it. What is the DW Module?

DW = EscortLive Direct Wire module. This is the only way to get around the coiled lighter cord.

Both the bluetooth coiled cord and Direct Wire cord provide power as well as a data bus between the detector and bluetooth module inside the ligther adapter or direct wire module. Since your detector does not have bluetooth communications built in, you have to go through either the coiled cord or DW module to communicate with your smartphone.

This module is for Bluetooth connection without coiled cord, correct? And is powered by 12V? And I'm assuming I can mount that module anywhere in the vehicle?

Correct to both. We sell a fused pigtail mirror cable separately that will work for the power connection from mirror to the module. Part number 71414-001, 3' FUSED PIGTAIL DW LIVE, $19.95 each.

Thanks! Is there any sort of trade in program or something along those lines for accessories? If i would of known about this Module before ordering the lighter plugin cord instead i would of got this in a heart beat. I just got the 12V coiled cord bluetooth connection about a month ago or a bit more.
