Default What is TSR and how can it help me?

Title says it all.

I've noticed a large number of people running 9500ix's using TSR. What is it?

There are X/K band traffic sensors in some cities and about every minute they hit traffic with radar to check the speed of traffic. But it seems like you are getting hit with instant on. TSR (traffic signal rejection) eliminates these false signals. Autolearn has a hard time learning them because they don't transmit constantly. And to lock them out manually you would have to make several passes down the same highway to eventually get them all locked out.

Slows down the reaction time/response time...

so if leo's in your town run instant on K band, leave it off

ohh, okay I see. How does it differentiate which is I/O and which is a traffic sensor?

TSR looks for a certain type of signal (signal pulse). It wont effect I/O performance enough to matter under most circumstances.
I/O from a real radar gun is different then the traffic sensors.

you recommend turning it on? I have several municipalities in the chicagoland area running C/O K band - would having TSR on affect the range of C/O K?

I was wondering the same thing, if the leo's use k band in your area, you better thoroughly test the rd with tsr on and off to make your own educated decision whether or not to run the tsr. I live in PA and the state police use k band exclusively. So far, I really like the 9500iX.

X2, we can only go by our own experience. And though a feature may work perfect for one it may not be for the other.

Test it out and let us know.

Ill be testing the difference in K band reactivity with the redline (TSR on vs off) and the FalconHR here in the next few days. Will post up results soon.

You do not need to enable TSR on your 9500ix unless there is K band radar signals which the 9500ix will not reliably store as falses. These are traffic flow sensors and they are typically mounted about a mile apart from each other on some highways.
