Default speed limit stuck at 70mph

I just bought the max 2 from costco and the speed limit is always at 70 mph. Not sure what is wrong. I emailed escort and am waiting for a response. Curious if anyone has had this problem and if anyone knows how to fix it.

Emailing Escort doesn't seem to usually work out. You can call Escort customer service at 1-800-543-1608, available from 9am-5:30pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri.

But I'd just head to Costco and exchange it.

I believe you are looking at the OSP (overspeed) display in the far left of the screen.
The OSP limit always stays at whatever you set it and the default is 70 mph. The actual speed of your car shows to the right of it.
This assumes you are not using Escort Live.

I read it as meaning the display showed you were always traveling at 70mph. But probably did mean the Over-speed warning. Think I've always set mine to off.

MAX 2 manual: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/19...74421074592817
Over-speed is to the left of the speed display and can be turned off.

Thanks guys. I thought that far left number should tell me what the speed limit is on the road i am driving. I guess that is asking too much. I didnt realize that is a number i set.

Is there a way to get rid of this annoying number that sits up there. Seems that is a dumb feature to have. Most of the expereinced and conscious speeders know exactly how fast we are going and how much over the speed limit we are going.
