Designed for the consumer who wants a discreet installed system, ESCORT iX Ci, is equipped with the ESCORT connected experience which offers real-time intelligence and alerts via the crowd-sourced ESCORT Live™ app, a community filled with millions of users and DEFENDER® database of red light & speed camera locations; keeping you alert at all times.

Does anyone know if this detector will filter out BSM from the new generation Honda CR-V or the newest Acura?

It will not totally filter out the K band radar being used in some Honda and Acura vehicles. We are working on a solution but do not have an ETA yet.

Hi, it is difficult to tell from the Escort website what the actual technology differences between the IX platform and the Max platform. Other than the different display that can indicate direction of the radar source, are the specifications/features any different?

Asking because I am contemplating if I should bother upgrading my 9500CI which has served me well (other than the annoying false K alerts). Not talking laser here, and I've got that covered. Just want to know what the real differences are between the 2 platforms.

According to ER, if it is a MAX model, it is all digital.
Anything other than that will have some analog components which do not have the same level of software programmable filtering capabilities as the MAX platform (although they have some).

There is no mention if the iX Ci platform is immune to radar detector detectors. Therefore, I assume it is not. Anyone know?

The iX Ci isn’t based off the M7 antenna platform so it is probably not RDD immune.

For Escort, RDD immunity is achieved through their shielded M3-style antenna design, like we see in the Redline. And the Max Ci is basically a digital Redline, but the IX Ci has a different heritage.

Thanks jdong, you are spot on, just heard from Escort and they confirmed that the iX Ci is not immune to radar detector detectors and I'd need to go with the Max Ci platform.

Correct. You will not be disappointed with the Max ci platform. It is really amazing and has every feature that you coudl ask for in a detector/laser system.
