I have heard good and bad about the rear jammer head being moved to the front some people report better jamming. Roy thinks it hinders jamming. Has anybody here ever tested the setup with all the heads up front.

I believe the problem is that the rear unit isnít in sync with the front and can mess with the jamming consistency.

I asked this question last week and apparently no one has officially tested it. Escorts stance is that it was designed only for the rear, and they are not interested in making it work in the front.

^ That summarizes it very nicely.

So far, no-one has pursued this in a quantitative manner.

My exchange with MyEscort8MyV1 starts here:

^ Can't make that speculation, the "sync" concern was something that was never tested, not even in an observational manner.

We simply don't know, sure.

Like I said in the other thread, those who have used the three-heads-forward setup also utilized heavy armor in terms of passive considerations. This, combined with the aim of their personal testing having been "optimization of protection" instead of a true before/after quantitative comparison.

I have 1 rear head mounted directly into the front lic plate holder on my truck. This is with 4 front heads spread out covering the headlights and chrome bumper. I havent got it tested yet but hope to know sometime soon.
My hope/gamble is that having so many heads for a weak jammer that it will cover/overlap area and help avoid pt.

I'm not sure if overkill is possible for a laser defense system but yours may be the closest to it partsfreak

I have had superb real world experience with our ZR3 and ZR4 single systems mounted as recommended in several midwest states. I have found that our local 9500ci customers are sold on it's GPS features and radar sensitivity then end up bragging about the laser shifting function the most.
