Default With Andriod Oreo, Escort Live does not display alerts

I recently updated to Android Oreo on my Verizon Galaxy S8. Since the update Escort Live will not display any alerts if it is running in the background. The app must be running in the foreground. I am not able to swap to other apps and still have alerts and speed displayed on the detector. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

This is a feature introduced in Android 8 Oreo to save your phone's battery life.

We are looking into solutions.

Does adding it to the unmonitored apps list help?

If you are running android version 8.X aka Oreo, the Escort Live app does not support running in the background. See this thread: http://escortradarforum.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=17796

I ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY HATE IT when OS developers think they know what users want and implement "features" with no way to disable them! I've fought this so many times developing test software to run on always-on desktop computers that it drives me bat-s**t crazy.

This definitely explains what happened to me on 4 July.
