Default can't pair phone to SmartRadar anymore

Hi guys, I know these are old but long ago I spent many hours waterproofing mine and did a stealthy install on my motorcycle. I'd love it to still work.

I can't get it to pair anymore. I can't remember the specifics of what one is supposed to do or if I need to do anything on the radar detector to start the pairing mode.

I'm running a OnePlus 6 with Android 9. Maybe it's the phone? Or is the issue with Escort Live?

And I don't need someone to tell me to upgrade the detector. It still works great out of the city (out on the highway it once saved my bacon picking up Ka from miles away), AND I already use a Max360 in my car and literally have a newer Max II that I use for my other bikes.

I want this one to work since it's a stealth install and I hate the look of a radar detector sitting up high on mounts.

It can take a few seconds for it to show in your phone's pairing table. Turn off and on bluetooth on your phone, and the device off and on. If the phone still wont see it then it will need to be serviced. Unfortunately we no longer service SmartRadar.

Well, thanks for the reply. I do have an old phone I can test with, a Note 2 running Android 4 I think.

I'm pretty sure you guys won't touch this thing. I'm pretty proud of what I did taking the wires that run into the speaker and soldering them to a mono headphone jack so that I can pipe audio through a BT transmitter to my Sena.

But I'm sure when your techs see all the silicone and other stuff you'll just ship it straight back to me.

Oh, wait! I have a backup one I can see if it will pair with my new phone also.

Actually I just found out that we no longer service SmartRadar... Sorry for the mis-information before.

If you continue to have issues then send me a private message with your name, address, and email address
