Default Passport 8500 X50 compatibility ?

H There,

Maybe this been asked many times but I want able to find the thread regarding my question.

Bought Escort 8500 x50 from Amazon Escort 8500 X50

I was wondering if anyone knows if this would work in NZ ( New Zealand ) ??

Maybe someone as I don't really know much about them .. if I bought the wrong one, oh well .. I can send it to my family in the states no worries .. but wondering if it still works in NZ or if there is any setting I can change to make it work. I haven't tried it yet as it still in its box.

Let me know.
Thanks for your time and help in advance.

If it is the international version, it should be fine. If it's the North American version, it won't have the internal components needed to detect the speed frequencies in use in NZ.
