Default Regards to my 9500ix

Bought my 9500ix, my first detector, great for me a few months ago, didn't know exactly where to post this:

Something I noticed:
Drove past 2 separate Honda CRV's (looked to be very new vehicles) setting off Ka bands.. I have all my other bands filtered but this is very annoying, is there anyway to filter? Radar keeps going off when these vehicles are close.

My issues:
My smartcord wire near where I plug it into my radar is starting to rip and expose the wires underneath.

My suction cup (not the one the radar comes with) starts to fall off on it's own. Tried to clean the dust and debris off of it, comes off in cold weather

We're glad to hear you like the 9500ix.

Some newer vehicles use radar for their anti-collision systems like blind spot monitoring. This radar can be the same as police radar. Many of our newer detectors incorporate an "IVT Filter" which reduces these alerts greatly. Should these alerts become too annoying for you to continue to use the 9500ix then I suggest trying a newer detector like the ESCORT iX or any MAX detector.

Yes, the filter wasn't able to filter out the Ka band? I don't think the filters Ka at all because I drive by similar street signs which monitor speed and every single time I pass by they go off.

And what can I do about my accessories?
