If Escort Live is hanging on startup then it is most probably having an issue retrieving data. When you start the app it verifies your login credentials.

Speed limit data and Live alerts are premium content. If you are not receiving them then you may not be logged in with a premium account's credentials. If you live near Escort Inc then you should be seeing Live alerts around Cincinnati. They are always there.

Go to the Settings/Subscription screen in Escort Live and check the expiration date that is shown to verify if you are logged into a premium account or not. If you need help accessing your premium account use this website or contact our customer service department.

Interestingly enough, on Monday evening and Tuesday evening, my detector worked mostly as it should. I still had to manually connect Escort Live to my 360 by tapping on the Bluetooth icon, and selecting "Mac 360". Once it connected, I got PSL, and alerts. I don't know if it's coincidence, but both nights, it worked on my way home from work. today, it didn't work at all. Once I connected EL to the detector, the left window was the Bluetooth icon, and there were no alerts. I can see the alerts on my phone, but the detector doesn't report them.

As for the subscription, EL says my subscription is good until 11/28/2019

Do you have any other Escort devices paired to your phone? If so then unpair them and see if you continue to have bluetooth connection issues.

If this isn't applicable or doesn't help, then I would like to review your Max 360. Please send me a private message with your name, address, and email address.

And I meant to tell you earlier. You can disable notifications involving Escort Live using the Notifications settings in Android.

Had a problem today where i got a live KA alert from EL but nothing on my IX. Also, had some detections on my RD and no alert from EL. I had to turn off BT on my phone a few times and close EL a few times.

I also get a problem where the BT icon in EL is red and it won't let me click on it. Usually if I close the app and reopen it will work. Again all with my IX.

I just got a EL chord and haven't seen these issues yet but I use the IX more than I use the Live chord with my redline.

The ESCORT iX radar detector has bluetooth built into it so DO NOT use an Escort Live cord with it. You will need to unpair the Live cord from your phone when using your ESCORT iX.

Unpair and re-pair your ESCORT iX to your phone. You should only have to press the red BT icon the first time you use Escort Live, after you pair it. Afterwards it should auto-connect when the app opens. It can take several seconds for this to happen.

Perhaps you misunderstand how Escort Live works. Escort Live isn't a "detector". It displays previously-reported alerts from other drivers, so it will alert you in the app.

The Detector, in contracts actually receives a live threat from an active speed gun. If you got an alert in EL, but not from the detector, it probably was a previously-logged threat, but the LEO may have moved on. LEOs don't stay in one place very long.

When receiving an actual threat, your detector will alert you, and if it's a Ka threat (or Laser), it will automatically be logged in the cloud for other EL Drivers to receive, but it's NOT instantaneous. In my experience, it takes about five to ten seconds for the warning to appear in EL.

I'm going by what I have seen previously. When a live alert would show up on EL it would also alert on the RD and show a different message with how many feet until the live alert was away with an arrow for the direction. It would essentially mirror on the RD screen what was on EL. Now, it is not doing that.

I',m using the love chord with my redline not the IX. I will try to unpair and repair again to see if that fixes it.

Only once in the last month (since having my new phone) have I gotten an EL alert, and I have yet to see the PSL. I can modify the settings of the detector from my phone, but I'm just not getting the data from Escort Live to the detector.

I just bought my wife a 360, so I'm thinking of trying to pair my phone to it to see how different it is. Her serial number starts with 85 whereas mine starts with 79, so there's definitely a difference in hardware.

Oh....one other thing that I noticed. When I open the Escort Live app, about half the time, it hangs on the splash screen for a while. Sometimes it will continue on to the app, other times, I have to restart the app.

I don't know if this information is of any use to Escort, but I live about 10 minutes from Escort's West Chester, OH office.
Finally got my 360c on home 2.4ghz wifi with a Pixel 2 XL android 8.1 and am experiencing identical issues in the car. I get the bluetooth icon (half connect) and about 50% of the time the escort doesnt even bind via bluetooth (BT icon red, no max 360c in list), I have to unplug the power, and it finally shows in the EL app when it powers back up with a EL app force quit.....

When I try to tether the 360c to my Pixel 2 XL it shows the network as "NA" and cannot connect. I've tried over 20 times today. I was at my sisters house and able to connect the detector to their wifi, and finally got the white "speed limit" on the left, but as soon as I drove away, naturally it went away.

Tried binding it to my tethering all day which is set to 2.4ghz, no spaces in SSID, simple password.

So I've got a bluetooth icon, and current speed. No alerts, or EL functionality.

Subscription is good through 2018, and I have a DB code for 3 years.

same issues android 8.1 oreo, Pixel 2 XL. But I'm hardwired using an escort hardwire kit.

Only the radar functionality works. no EL integration, current speed limit etc

Frequently I launch the app, the bluetooth icon is red, so I try to connect via BT. It doesnt show in the list.

I power cycle the BT, force quit the EL app. Relaunch and it shows when i try to connect via BT...

So I connect. The BT icon shows where my top speed normally is. Then wham, it disconnects again...

Try to reconnect and again its gone.

I cant even get BT to work solidly, let alone wifi. This device works fantastic with every other BT device I own.
