Default Chord Options for M1

Now I have 2x M1 cameras. The second which arrived today will be going to an older non-USB car. For that car, I have been using the SmartChord Live because of its USB and, most importantly, its longer LENGHT compared with the regular Smart Chord.

Unfortunately the M1 is not compatible with the SmartChord Live. So for this vehicle, I am using the regular SmartChord which is stretched to looking over-stressed, even at its stress release base.

My preference is a "non smart" version of the SmartChord Live, but it looks like ESCORT does not make that. It also looks like ESCORT does not make a straight SmartChord with USB. So, I am begging ESCORT to make "NonLive" version of the SmartChrod Live to use with the M1.

It also looks like ESCORT does not make a straight chord with USB, which may work for me, though it may be too long - but overlength can be managed

Does ESCORT plan to make a SmartChord Live compatible with the M1? I think that makes sense for those of us using the SmartChord Live.

Unfortunately it is a hardware limitation that is preventing Live cords from working with M1. There will be no updates released for M1 to support Live cords.

A straight SmartCord w/USB charging is possible, but we have not had many requests for one so I doubt we will offer one any time soon.

Have you thought of using a direct wire for the M1+detector in the non-USB vehicle? That will open up your cigarette lighter port for USB charging or anything else.

I decided to just get a straight Smart Chord w/USB for this particular vehicle, and deal with the xtra chord length management intelligently.
