Default ESCORT Live for iOS v2.1.44 released

Iíve said this twice now. Both are off. The alert came back. Annoying.

Thank you for the information. We have been able to reproduce this. Cycling the power of the detector causes the setting change to take effect.

I also had trouble logging in Monday morning. Lasted about half a day, but my EL app changed my Over Speed from my preference of Speed Limit to 5 over speed limit on my Max 360, and 7 over speed limit on my Redline EX. Since I never changed that setting myself, that was a bug. And I always use the app to set my detector settings. I use an iPhone 6.

The app is cool, but has room for improvement. Things I would like to see:

1 - My default view to be zoomed out to somewhere around +/- 25 miles...and stay that way until I approach a marked threat, say within a mile or so. Once past, zoom back out. Looking ahead at activity is key to awareness.

2 - The History log to have frequency information so I can later analyze interference versus legit radar threats. Ideally, I would like to first MUTE collision avoidance and blind spot noise by frequency so that as long as I drive near one of these identified noise-makers it STAYS MUTED for until they are well out of range (frequency muted until it's gone for 5 minutes or more). You can get stuck behind one of these for 10's of miles, and MUTE now only mutes until it pauses hand then hits you with another alert. I has an Acura (could have been a Mercedes) X BAND me on 10.519 for over 20 minutes yesterday!

3 - The Lockout button and Report button needs to stay on the screen a bit longer to give me time to press it...even after the signal stops. Safe driving comes first, and time is needed to analyze the situation. There is also detector issues of trying to lockout a new "door opener" while locked-out door openers are showing in gray. Instead of locking out the NEW offender, it unlocks the known offender(s). Not the intent.

4 - The Speed Limit and Speed display on the app is TOO BIG. It blocks threat viewing on the map. Smaller would be better.

5 - Not a fan of the app blocking out the whole map when approaching a reported threat. Maybe a split screen would be better.

6 - My normal daily commute has a "no cell coverage" zone that sometimes has threats to report. The app shows an annoying message about cell coverage loss, but has no way to mark and report a threat! I guess the app is not using the Detector's GPS for map location, but cell site location data. We need a way to carry those areas through on detector GPS and be able to report threats. Then when cell coverage restores, the threat gets uploaded to the cloud.

7 - Night mode for the cell app. It is too bright at night.

Speaking of day/might brightness, I would like the option on my detectors to only switch between MAXIMUM and MEDIUM brightness. Those are always the two settings that work. AUTO, as is, gets way too dark...and dark too early.

Love my Escort detectors! I especially enjoy all the information my MAX 360 offers. Expert Mode, with front and rear signal bars is so cool.

Phil

I just verified that alerts are working as they should on the server and on the iPhone and Android apps.

It can take a few seconds for the alert to show on the map. Also, if you are not moving, or if you do not have a good GPS signal, then you will need to restart the app to refresh the map. In order to save data usage, Escort Live shuts off refreshing the map after you have stopped moving for 5 minutes.

Is a fix coming for the Dashboard/Map issue? We are coming up close to two months since 2.1.44 was released.

It's my understanding that the Dashboard/Map issue is going to be addressed in an upcoming update, soon.
