A Laser Jammer has nothing to do with Radar Guns. A Laser Jammer is only designed to buy you some time against a hit from a Laser Gun. Radar Guns are completely different technology.

I find Instant-On (I/O) Radar more dangerous than Laser. At least with Laser Shifters, you can usually jam the return LASER signal in enough time for you to slow down (and turn off the shifters). With I/O Radar it cannot be jammed (legally that is) so basically if a LEO is sitting in wait and targets you with I/O, you are toast. You mentioned you did pick up some intermittent scatter on Ka. That is a classic sign for I/O radar and many times you won't even be able to pick it up with a well trained LEO who waits for that single car he wants to target.

Shifters would not have helped you with Ka I/O Radar.

Yep, against I/O radar, your best tools are to have a very sensitive detector like the Redline and a rabbit up ahead of you (a car up ahead of you who will get shot with radar first) so that when he gets clocked, your Redline will go off.

A cloud-based app like Waze or Escort Live will help as well so you can get alerted from other people who have reported police spotted in the area.

Countermeasures aren't designed to make you bulletproof against tickets, although that would be nice. They can, however, help you swing the odds in your favor a bit more.

What I do when I'm well over PSL on interstate late night,if there's no vehicle within a reasonable distance ahead of me,say 1/2 mile I slow down to no more than 5 over and stay at that speed until tail lights appear,no tail lights no high speed.I have a Redline with good range and our interstates are somewhat straight and level so if there's a car in front and le I/O's it I will get a short KA alert blip and I slow down until I determine where LE might be hiding.
