Question 360c database updates?

Use to get DB updates every Monday via WiFi, but last week didn't get one and nothing yesterday
Anyone else get WiFi DB updates last week or this week so far?

Got one yesterday morning. I think they are location based? In other words, if there is no update for your area, you won't receive an update?

You should have received a prompt to update Defender yesterday. Check to make sure your hotspot has access to the internet.

They are not location based. Everyone receives the update prompt on their MAX 360c when an update is available.

WiFi hotspot is confirmed connected and working as shown by the white PSL section active and working this morning and at lunch today as well as verifying wifi download speeds on my mobile device while connected to wifi

Thanks rrrick8 maybe I will get it on the way home from work today

It prompting you to update the Defender database confirms that your MAX 360c's Wi-Fi chipset is operational. It also confirms that your MAX 360c has the correct account information stored in it (Defender updates require a valid account).

This issue could be due to poor GPS reception. Try mounting the MAX 360c lower on your windshield and see if speed limit works. Note that it can take several seconds before the speed limit for a given road is displayed after you start traveling on it (slightly longer than when using Escort Live).

The only other thing that could be causing it is internet connectivity issues with the hotspot you are using.

I am not getting the prompt to update the database, I didn't get one last week and so far nothing this week
I was one of the one's who was getting the repeated database update 2 weeks ago so I am not sure if something "wonky" might have happened on the Escort end?
I did a factory reset yesterday and again today, confirmed that WiFi hotspot in my vehicle is working correctly (not a WiFi hotspot off of a phone but an actual WiFi device) PSL works fine, WiFi data speed test on my mobile device show good connectivity without an issue and my tablet also connects to the WiFi in my vehicle

Please send me a private message with your name, address, and the serial number of your MAX 360c. Defender updates require a subscription which is created when you register your detector. There may be a registration issue with your MAX 360c which I would like to look into.

This one is on me, as I guess I didn't activate my 3yr DB subscription when I registered my 360c
