Default Smartcord Live power cycling

New to the forum and looking for some advice. I have a passport 9500ix and just purchased a new Smartcord Live. The detector works just fine with the original power cord. When plugging the new Smartcord Live into car outlet the detector powers on, then off, then on, then off. Has anyone had this problem?

If you have access to another vehicle, I'd suggest taking your 9500ix and the Smartcord live and see if the behavior persists.

If it does, then the Smartcord Live cable might be defective. If it doesn't it may mean that your cigarette lighter port is under-powered.

Best wishes!

Thanks for the reply. The same problem occurs in multiple vehicles. I will get with a service rep hopefully tomorrow and see what they allow. I tend to believe I will need a new new cord.
