Thank you for confirming this.

Would you try using Escort Live with your MAX 360 without your car's bluetooth connected? You can easily accomplish this by going into your iPhone's bluetooth settings and disconnecting your car's bluetooth (you do not need to un-pair it). When you want to re-enable your car's bluetooth connection simply go to the same menu again and connect it.

If the problem goes away with your car's bluetooth not connected then please let me know what make and model of car you have.

Thank you

Not just disconnected but unpair it and see if the disconnects still happen, correct? Iíll test that out today and let you know.

I disconnected all bluetooth devices from my X before plugging in the 360. Did not make any difference. I could still see the 360 in the phones bluetooth settings device list, but can't connect to it there, nor will the ER Live app recognize it.

Sorry for the delay - I wanted to give this newest update enough time to give you the most accurate info:
  • Bluetooth paired but NOT actively connected to car (no music streaming; EL in background with map app (W***) active in front.
    No disconnects at all.
  • Bluetooth paired and connected with music streaming and map app in front (EL in background).
Issue with connection occurred at least once each drive (usually more).

Just to be clear - it's not your normal disconnect. I attached a couple of screenshots.

EL app - shows disconnected (red)

iPhone X Bluetooth settings - shows disconnected and returns an error when trying to connect (without rebooting the max360)

Max360 - It appears to think it's connected still but not receiving any info.
How do I know this? The speedometer section of the 360 shows something different when not connected to BT (blank), when initially connected but not yet receiving data (blue B) and then when fully connected (shows current speed).

Looking thru the logs now to see if I can find the specific reason for the disconnect.

It sounds like the issue is with your vehicle's bluetooth. You should see if it has any bluetooth updates available for it.

Angry Bluetooth connected, app not connecting to radar

Hi,

I have two other bluettoth devices, a Dension BT500 and a Pearl Rearview mirror camera. Bluetooth in the iPhone setting shows connected to Max360 (updated with latest f/w) but the app shows the red sign without connecting to the radar. If I reboot the radar, unpair and pair again, it works.

But on a regular basis, it does not.
How can it be that bluetooth is connected but the app doesn’t consistently see the radar?

The bluetooth on your MAX 360 needs updating. Update your MAX 360's firmware using Windows Detector Tools. I recommend using the UPDATE ALL option on the Advanced page.
