Hmm … I am pretty sure that is exactly what I said. "He advised that he will have an update on the MAX* firmware update development today."

Let's hope... My Max II has been a paperweight on my desk for about three months and cost me another $700 since I had to buy a second 360c so the fiancé had something that actually would be beneficial on her trips out of town twice a week. The Max II gave her so many false alerts that it wasn't worth using. At least I can gift the Max II after the update.

interesting email - still no year was given so don't hold your breath.
I really wish they would either release the source code for the firmware or open it up for api development.
I know this would never happen.

A good business should always put its clients first, keeping them happy and informed, and this, I feel hasn't been done by Escort.

I am a Medical Sale Rep and spend most of my day traveling around on the interstate and local road system, and rely on my radar detector, of which I've always depended on Escort Brand detectors.

I know several of my associates have stopped using their outdated Max/Max 2 detectors and have purchased other brands.

Escort must know that they are losing business by not keeping up with updates for their MAX line of detectors.

I've been a loyal user of Escort device since the early 80's and I feel "let down" by Escort.

Escort,
Just send us any detector that works and we can drive safely. We can send the loaner detector back when ours is updated.......

We took a day trip last weekend, just a few hundred miles, and only had 1 false alert. Never did figure out which make/model car, it was in the opposite lane and we were traveling at highway speeds. Very satisfied with the current firmware. Never failed to alert properly.

About 2-weeks ago got hit with a POP. Hit the brakes and while he switched over to Ka got under the speed limit. He turned around & followed me for about a mile (beep, beep, beep) and then spun over to the opposite lane when he nailed an oncoming driver speeding.

It's all GM and Honda products with blind spot monitoring when you're near them.

I also recall reading some FCA product do, and some don't.

Sometimes you will get a false in the Ka band when you get close enough.

You can now add Mazda in the mix here as well.
