Default Unable to merge with defender database

Hi, I have just updated my detector (Redline EX - 'international'?) with the latest firmware (1.4) but I can't seem to merge it with the defender database.

My detector was purchased in New Zealand from PB tech in February and has a serial number starting with 84. I've heard the earlier models released in NZ started with 84 because when I start up the detector it does not display "international".

Please help!! Attached is a photo of the error I'm getting when clicking the defender database merge button

I too had the same issue, I just updated my detector tools pro to the latest version that was released not long ago and now I can re load my database.

Mine was purchased from repco and also starts with 84.

Thanks for that info, great to know its not just me with the 84 serial number.

The version of detector tools pro I'm using is the most recent. So I still can't work out whats going wrong.

Do you pay for a subscription to the defender database at all?

To my understanding it was free for international users.

Moved your posts to their own thread. Every now and then posts get overlooked when they are added to older threads.

84 serial number are official products in NZ and AUS according to the official licensed importer. They come with international on the box direct from Neltronics, but do not show international on startup.

The information given on here that 84 are not AUS/NZ products is false and the importer is discussing the forum posts directly.

We do not pay for database updates, they are included in our product and the thought is that April was broken because someone forgot with the international/american confusion surrounding serial numbers.

The latest software update for detector tools pro allows you to update the database. The trick is to merge the database before then trying to upgrade the redline software.

SPARKYNZ,
Did you register your RedLine EX? If not then do so and be sure to select the correct country where you are located (eg New Zealand). You should then be able to update the database of your RedLine EX.

All RedLine EX models have international band settings and can access the Australian/NZ database. The differences between them are mainly that the International model has different band defaults for the various markets.

A true Redline EX International has its own packaging, manual, and different splash screen.
