Default ESCORT LIVE APP keeps crashing ..........

Another question i have - EL keeps crashing every now and then. Sometimes every few minutes. Sometimes is running Okay for an hour or two.
Anyone else has this issue? Or, what might be wrong with my phone? (Samsung S8+)
TY.

Known issue for months now. See the dozen or so threads posted in the EL sub-forum without any response.

Yup, yup.. not a single email returned either. It's been over 2 months since the last release. Crashed with every Ka alert. No word on a fix and your subscription fees are due non the less.

Right or wrong, the vision in my head of their stance is a scene from the movie "Despicable Me". Gru "Don't care".

Real funny thing...

I have this issue on my iOS device too. Or at least had. I bought a VW GTI, and discovered there's an incompatibility with the vehicle system on the bluetooth to my iPhone 8- it apparently has to do with the low power BT states, since it works fine if something is being streamed, but will drop and reconnect continually if not.

HOWEVER...

Once I moved my Max 360 into the car, that went away. As did the EL crashing (it can still bomb out, but it's much more rare now). For some weird reason, having the phone connected to both the detector and the car stabilizes BOTH connections.

I don't know why. It just is.

We are looking into these reports on certain Android devices.

What subscription fees? If you are using Escort Live with a detector, then you should not be paying a subscription fee.

I paid $49 on Google Play for Escort Live for my Android. Now Google Play shows the app as free. That wasn't the case last February.

Oh and for the record, my Escort Live crashes every time my Max360 receives a KA alert. I also sent an email to support. Of course, like everyone else, I got nothing but crickets.

The Escort Live app has always been free (for both Android and iOS). People can purchase subscriptions from within the app. Read this sticky post about the differences of using it free vs with a paid subscription.

Either free or paid, it doesn't matter. Many, if not most, have an app that they can't use because the Escort Live crashes every time their Bluetooth connected Max360 receives an alert. Escort doesn't appear to be making this problem a priority. They need to be more proactive in providing the users information. Working in the technology sector myself, I can understand that fixing the problem may be complicated. However, being forthcoming with progress information would go a long way toward calming customer anger. The level of support Escort provides is not what it should be for the price that customers pay for their products.
