Default Are there plans to an "M2" Version?

Dear Escort,

I love how the M1 cam neatly integrated with the detectors, however, sorry to say that the technology in the cam is quite behind the rest of the industry where there is now:

1. 4K video
2. Infrared Night Vision (cabin and front)
3. 60FPS front and rear
4. OBD Port connection for 24/7 Power
5. Artificial Intelligence (break in/accident detection, while you're away from the car, etc.)
6. LTE Connectivity to view the dash cam from anywhere in the world and receive notifications if something happens in/to the car.

My question is, are you planning a M2 version of the cam to be released anytime soon? It seems like a logical next step. If so, what is the estimated time frame?

Thank you in advance.

Escort does not usually comment on products that may or may not be in development before they are officially released.

While we do not comment on potential new products, we do appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

Thank you

+1!

An upgraded M1 with better video resolution/framerate would be great!

Also it would be cool if alert info from the detector could show up on the video!

The detector showing up in the video is a great suggestion IMHO. Displaying what detector the camera is connected to, frequency detected, strength of signal, and direction (360, 360c) would be awesome!

If speed is done, it should be an option, not an absolute. If you were involved in an accident and wanted to produce the video to show the other person pulled out in front of you but it also showed you were exceeding the posted speed limit, it would not be helpful.

I would like to see a different type of mount. I frequently drive on military installations and need to remove the detector prior to entering the gate. It's currently a hassle to try and remove the detector with camera right next to it.
