Default 34.730 and 34.520 falses

Just curious if anyone has had either or both of these frequencies appear as a false. I periodically get 34.730 and less frequently 34.520. Both will continue to display for a minute or two then clear. Detector is in a 2013 Infiniti FX37. Car does not have any BSM but does have proximity sensors in front and rear bumpers. 34.730 will sometimes alert from the front and sometimes from the back. Not sure about 34.520 as the is less frequent. I am guessing the detector might be picking up something from the sensors but can't be certain. Thought I would throw the question out to the community and see if anyone else has experienced this.

Thanks

What direction are these coming from? If only rear, we will be releasing new firmware in the not-so-distant future which helps reduce rear Ka false alerts.

I have seen both front and rear. I have also noticed more laser falses since the last update. Other than that, very much like this detector.

Thanks

You can enable/disable Ka Narrow bands in the detector's "bands settings" menu. Only enable: KaN2, KaN5, and KaN8. These are where properly calibrated police Ka radar will transmit at.

34.7 is really close to police radar so you should NOT disable this narrow band (KaN5).

Laser false alerts will also be reduced with the next firmware update. If you have it mounted really close to a nav screen or phone, try moving the detector a few inches away and see how it works. These screens, and the iPhone X Face ID, will cause laser alerts.

Glad to hear you like your MAX 360c. It's my go-to detector

Thank you for your suggestions. I will try the band segmentation. Good to hear laser falses will be addressed in the next release.

Thank you.

Mine has been really good about not having laser falses, it only goes off near toll booths which is expected from the laser stuff they have there. So no rear falses unless i have another detector powered up next to it then they battle each other with falses. It's only a second behind on pickup than the other brand detector i have.

Quick update:

Updated to 1.10 and still get occasional 34.730 false but now it does not stay on as long as before. Most seem to affect the front antenna. Have not gotten the 34.520 false since updating. Still getting laser falser. Not seen any significant reduction on those.

Well, the gremlins are back. Just finished a seven day road trip and got falses from both frequencies. They show up both front and back with 34.730 still being the predominate false. There seems to be no particular pattern as to when these will appear. Wondering if I need to send the unit in for check out or repair.

My unit is a week old and since day one I've been getting alerts on 34.730 most days until a power cycle. If I have Escort Live running it just leaves red dots in my path. Did you ever find a fix?
