Default Is there no hope for Android users

I have been watching this forum for almost 6 months. I got my S9+ back in March and after 24 hours I sent it back to Verizon. I have an elderly iPhone and was pondering moving from iOS to Android but it seems the EL Bluetooth is a big issue for many.

Is there any definitive ETA on a fix for the GPS and Bluetooth issues that everyone is enjoying?

We are testing a release candidate of Escort Live for Android which fixes bluetooth connection issues on certain versions of Android.

Should this version pass testing, then we should be releasing it next week.

Will it be resilient to handle any updates to the OS? And is it just for one particular phone like Samsung? I know Samsung takes the raw OS and adds their customization.

Most Android Smartphone companies do likewise. It's called "Android Fragmentation". If you perform a search for that term, it's a huge issue, but it's upon Google to address the matter.

Samsung has had BT issues for 2 generations of phones now; the S8 series and most recently the S9 series. It does not "play well" with Android Auto; as well as many OEM equipped and aftermarket BT head units. So, saying "it is up to Google to figure out" is not entirely accurate.

Further, given Samsung's history of updates, I don't think you have to worry about future versions of the opsys.

We believe so. We implemented our own bluetooth device manager. Pairing will now be done from within Escort Live, similar to how it is done on the iPhone app.
