Default Working with the Max360c outside of the car

Is there a way to use the Max360 outside of the car? I have been having trouble with bluetooth pairing. I know there is an issue with Android 8+ but I also have not been able to get it to pair with my wife's iPhone X. I need to be at my desk M-F during support hours. When I have managed to be in may car, the unbelievably long hold times have made it impossible to stick around long enough to get through. It would be far easier to troubleshoot from my desk while waiting on hold. I've read through the forum since joining and am trying to decide if I just got a bad unit that needs to be replaced.

I power up my detectors with a Garmin 12 volt power adapter (similar to the one that Escort sells) while in the house.

As opposed to Android, on iPhone you must pair MAX 360c through the Settings/Devices menu, not through the iPhone's Bluetooth menu.

Escort Radar customer service is available from 9am-5:30pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri at 1-800-543-1608 or by live chat

On Amazon you can pick up a 12 volt adapter pretty cheap that will allow you to use the 12 volt plug just like the "cigarette lighter" port in a car with a 110 outlet. Also, walmart and places probably sell them if you want to pick one up locally, maybe look online at your local stores to get an idea before making the trip if they might have them.

Moderator note: Links to product sales aren't allowed.

They run about $10 it seems like from prime retailers in US, probably cheaper with a little searching.

Edit: Have read through the thread again I see Escort also makes one, I didn't realize that. And having thought back through it, I think the Wal-Mart automotive section, over by the stereos and GPS accessories is where I have them for sale locally.
