Default Ka False Alerts on 18 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

My MAX CI 360 false alerts KA band when I am idling in my garage at home. What steps would you recommend to troubleshoot the issue? Should I try the Tesla steps outlined in the sticky here. I am running MAX CI 360 version 1.2 and no updates are available for me. The Alert is reporting 35.842.

Removing the Ka narrow band 10 seems to have solved the issue.

A false of 35.842 likely means your Jeep uses the same radar sensor as Tesla (Bosch MRR4). Turning off segment 10 or both segments 9 and 10 will make the false alerts go away.

Hey Scooby.... Is yours working correctly? Did you have to turn off the Ka Band also? I've tried turning Ka Narrow Bands 9 and 10 off but it still went off. I read earlier here you have to uncheck the Ka Band for the Narrow Band 9 and 10 "mod" to work. Just wanted to verify with yours and it's been driving me nuts in my TH.

Right, you definitely have to turn KA off for the KA Narrow segments to take effect. If KA is on, it will always sweep and alert to the entirety of superwide Ka band. This is arguably an Escort Live bug, as the detector's Preferences menu correctly hides all the narrow segments until you turn off Ka band.

Thanks for the reply. Today was such a nice peaceful day in traffic. Wished I had know about the KA having to be turned off before. I called once and they told me to turn off 9 and 10 but failed to mention the KA thing. Now I'm fully in love with this thing. Now if I could just turn off Cadillac Escalades, Mercedes', and Bimmers K band alarts I'm set. Lmao.

I am having the same issue with my RS3 and I just followed the steps. Quick clarification question, so you leave the KA setting set to "OFF" correct? You disable narrow bands 9 and 10 and leave 1-8 "ON" but you leave the KA setting itself set to "OFF"?

Thanks for the help.

I am getting the on my 2018 Audi RS3. I followed the steps and the alerts stopped, but I am unsure if I need to turn KA back on or leave it off? If I turn it back on the alerts come back. I just want to make sure the other KA bands will still fire if KA itself is off.

thanks,
Doug

Correct. Turn Ka off, then turn on Ka1-8.

Turning Ka on enables the entire Ka band.
