Agreed, BelsCortFan. But asking about your own experiences using it on the road with so much BSM pollution, nowadays, would you care to characterize your observations?

For me, that incessant "nags" caused by BSM systems drove me toward more "quiet" solutions.

Raw range? Sure thing. That Stir-O rocks. But what about the false noise?

Well there's certainly no arguing that if you're going to need to run k band (and most do) then the STIR is pretty much obsolete for this use. In order to make it useable you would need the more quiet solutions for sure!

The only use you might have for the Original STIR would be to use it strictly KA Band only with the unit segmented.

For K band you're going to have to run a more modern detector designed for filtering the noise such as he New Redline or Max360.
