Default Supercup falling off in the cold

Is there a way to prevent this? I was thinking about just laying it on my dash so it is looking through the windshield underneath my wipers but i am not sure about the window not being clear (water spots, etc.) for detection. Thoughts?? Thanks guys!

Edit: I live in South Dakota so as most of you know the temps change a lot throughout the seasons. what is happening is when my truck is in my heated garage the supercup will stay stuck but when i go out to my truck after work its laying on my dash and will not suck back to the window until the window and the cup are both at room temp should i say. i see people on here talking about all the new redesigned cups. Are these supposed to help with this as well? I don't want it to keep falling on the dash and break eventually....

That is odd. Call us, or send me a private message with your name and address, and we'll send you a replacement.

I've been using basically the same mount with a Passport iQ through the winter. The iQ is a heavier unit and it hasn't fallen once.

Did you clean the windshield good? I've used rubbing alcohol and it helps a lot.

ya i've cleaned the window and the mount and it still happens.

Escort - Thanks for the quick reply and taking care of this. This is the one that came with my radar last summer when i purchased it. I know there have been some problems with them and i pry have the old version of the supercup. Hopefully this fix's the issue! Thanks!

We'll see how a replacement works for you. If you have any problems with it then please let me know.

Normal i turn on the defrost so the window heats up before I use the cup. Sticks alot better and stays on in the cold.

Good luck with this one Viskey. There is a whole thread topic on how the super cup doesn't really work well. FYI...most suction cups don't hold well in extreme weather temps (hot or cold) and it is best to remove the radar from the mount to prevent a $500 device from crashing onto the dashboard. One of the advantages of the older two cup system is that once the car starts to warm up the windshield after driving for a while, you can easily press each cup down more firmly against the windshield (usually I hear a "snap" when I do it). It isn't as easy to do that with the super cup especially when driving, but if you do the new one may work a little better for you.

Most of these members have received replacements of a new version supercup which seem to have solved their issues.

I recently got the TSR update and a tune up. A super cup was sent back to me along with my radar. Any way I can get this latest updated version too?
