Other than 9500ix, M1 is compatible with any detector that can use a StickyCup including RedLine EX.

It includes a 30 day money back guarantee so there is no risk involved to try one. We say it is much improved over the iX in every way. If you don't feel that it is, return it within 30 days for a full refund. Heck if you don't like how it looks, return it within 30 days for a full refund. There are no strings attached to our return policy.

I have said that iXc detects better than ESCORT iX and not as good as a MAX. I have also said that the filtering is much improved over the iX, about the same as MAX and actually may seem better because iXc is not as sensitive as MAX. If you consider this to be vague then I cannot help you.
Sounds good. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Default Escort IXc ka band disabled from factory???

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can get back to me to explain why the ka band is disabled from factory on the IXc (the IX it's not, but you can't segment on the IX)?

I did notice some of the segmentation was enabled on the IXc... I do understand that this should help the radar detector to sweep faster and be more responsive (I'm new to radar detectors...). However, the IXc has a quicker processor from my understanding and that this should help it sweep faster... not sure a few milliseconds should make a difference in radar response... especially if this detector is 3-4db more sensitive than the outgoing IX and has a faster processor.

I also own the 360c and noticed the IXc wasn't responding to active police radar... I thought my detector was broken initially until I went through the menu and realized only ka segmentation was enabled... seems fine now that I realized the ka band was not fully enabled, but time will tell.... I live in central FL if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for any input.

So if it still uses analog technology as iX, does this mean new iXc carries the same burden of not being IVT updateable just as only 2 years old iX?

In a nutshell, I mentioned the same thing on Escort's forum and they scorned me saying I didn't own the product, so I couldn't make such claims...

However, I do own the radar and commute to Orlando, FL once in a while and yesterday (about 3 hours of driving) I ran it and it was pretty quiet. Odd thing is, the entire KA band is disabled from factory and multiple segments are enabled instead... I noticed this a few days ago because it was not alerting me to active police radar. You can see for yourself in you read the online "manual" to the radars.

I ended up returning my 360c. I went through two of them because the rear antenna kept alerting and was having to reset the radar detector to make it stop. I own the '18 Miata GTS.
