I would like for there to be an easy one step button on the escort live dashboard to instantly set my escort redline or bel magnum to dark mode.

It would be nice to see all Live users on the map. If someone is 5 minutes in front of me on the highway I would like to see maybe a LIVE icon on the screen near my icon.

On the other hand, I changed my mind. See below.

But it would be nice to see something like "there are 5 other Live users who have traveled your route in the last hour".

Please don't ever show the position of Escort live users. If I'm a LEO I'd love to look down on my iPhone and know a Live user is approaching.

What are they going to do about it? Pull over all the cars on the highway? Using Live! isn't illegal...and I doubt hardly any LEO would actually pay and use Live...

^^^^^ nothing, it would still be too hard to pinpoint which one of the 50 cars passing him has Live. and no, no LEO would pay out of his pocket for that, at least not for LEO purposes.

ESCORT: i have a great idea for live i got from reading / posting in another thread about the RDF geographical survey. how bout an updated app that stores the history of alerts in a certain area so that the user will know what kind of radar has been used there in the past?

it would kick azz if i was approaching a city and i got a warning on my screen that said something like "56 verified K band alerts in this area within the last 10 days." then id know more of what to look for, and would pay a lot more attention to K band falses in that area.

it would also be cool to be able to pull up a map of texas before i make a trip there and see an alert history for the roads im traveling and what bands were found. basically, lets use Live to create a constantly upgraded Geographical Survey of radar bands in use.

you have the data constantly coming in now.... all you have to do is compile it.

Please have option to turn off red light warnings over a set speed.

I think during these early times of limited users, Escort might want to change their settings to allow more "speed traps" to be shown through. I understand that this is a complex algorythm that probably looks at "cop spotted" locations over a certain amount of time... once so many reports happen over a pre-determined amount of time... it triggers a "speed trap" warning that is transmitted out on EL. I think this is a gret idea... IF Escort Live had the user base that we all wish. But unfortunately it doesn't have that right now, and in some places, it may NEVER have that. I think these parameters should be altered for these "early days" when the user base is limited, and also for areas with limited EL users. I'm assuming that Escort can tell where the users are, based on their GPS signal.

What do you think?

Most likely an individual LEO would not purchase LIVE, but the police department might pay for it. If it aids in stopping speeding... the department may buy the app for every LEO. Do you know how much a radar gun costs? Trust me, most departments can afford EL. Heck, it would pay for itself twice over for some of the tickets that are written these days.

On the other hand... Escort can either make a CEP (circular error of probability) around where they live users are. Bascially saying that a live user is somewhere within this 3 mile ring. That would give other users a "warm fuzzy" that there are other live users out there, and it would hide your exact location from any LEOs (for those paranoid folks).

OR... you can just make the "show my location to other users" a selectable switch. I've noticed some people criticize some of the suggestions from others. It doesn't have to be a "always on" option. You can always make it a feature selectable switch.

-Show that a lockout is active on detector screen, no alert
-Support NFC tags to automatically start Live when placed in holder
-ability to review lockouts on computer for accuracy (Ive hit lockout accidentally and the threat was gone before I could undo)
-review a travel plan before departure to be aware of possible threats
