Default SRX re-install - issues? Help please.

Hello,

Just re-installed my SRX in to a brand new vehicle. Bought the SRX new in 2007 and have loved it.. works great.

After re-install in the new vehicle, I am suspicious that the front laser sensors are not working. They are even mounted in front of any grilll or body plastics on the new ride versus behind the grill on the old ride(and worked great behind the grill BTW). I get no errors when the SRX boots and its in 'shift' mode. However, ran passed a laser cop the other day and got no response, and I am almost positive I should have. So I tried to test the sensors with a TV IR remote control, and I could trigger the rear sensor with it, but not the fronts. Should I be concerned?

1. Is there a better way to test if they are functioning, without getting a ticket?

2. If indeed they are not working, shouldn't I get an error on the main display at boot?

3. Can I buy replacement sensors and splice/solder if they are bad?

I Just paid a big labor bill to have this reinstalled, and do not want to buy a completely new system if possible.

Thanks in advance.

The shifters normally do display an error message when there is an issue but some issues do not issue an error message. We can still replace or repair these shifters. To set this up please call us at the number in my signature below. Your installer may also be able to help you with this directly.
