In answer to your questions:

1) Our home WiFi network consists of an Asus mesh network: GT-AC5300 main router in the house and an RT-AC5300 node in the garage. I was able to pair the 360c via Bluetooth with a Pixel 2 XL, and set up a WiFi connection to my in-car hotspot, as well as to the home network. Others have had issues with the Pixel 2 XL; that has not been my experience. My girlfriend's S8+ paired via Bluetooth with no issues, and was able to access the RD settings as well. I did not use her phone to set up WiFi, but the menu was visible and selectable. Not sure what version of Android the S5 is running (Samsung is horrible at software updates; they'd rather sell you a new phone!); her S8+ is on Oreo 8.0.

Since I use the in-car WiFi, I deleted the connection to the home network to keep the system configuration "clean". My use scenario is that the car needs to be running for the hotspot and RD to power up, so I have no need to be connected to the home network.

2) I have personally never experienced any lockups; but others have. Since reading that thread, I have been keeping an eye out for such, and have not had any. As far as overheating, I have not seen anything in that regard either. It is to be noted that I am using a Blendmount (so the RD is not in direct sunlight as it would be with a windshield mount), and my windshield is tinted with ceramic film.

3) The quick guide covers most everything, except there were a few settings that had to be performed on the 360c itself rather than through Escort Live. I cannot recall off the top of my head what they were; I just remember having to access them from the RD. Anything else can be learned on this forum.

I come from a long line of Beltronics and Escort products; most recently including the Max II, Max 360, and now the 360c. It is truly an amazing unit. The design is first class, the arrow layout & placement as compared to the 360 is superior, and the WiFi connectivity takes it to the next level. No more fiddling around with the phone to open Escort Live, and no more taking the RD in the house or a laptop out to the car for updating. For me, it is a unit that provides constant protection, as well as virtually maintains itself. Start the car and drive off! Now that being said, I would love to see Android Auto integration. I can dream, right?!

While I liked both the Max II and the 360 (we still own two 360's in other cars), the 360c has solved issues with IVT interference in my daily driver; a 2014 Cadillac CTS V Sport Premium. This alone was worth the price of admission, as I had resorted to turning off K band with the previously installed Max 360 to eliminate constant falses; which left me vulnerable to the local Sheriff's Dept.

All that being said, try it out! If not satisfied, Escort's return policy is very good.
Thank you for your response. It re-enforced my fears about the 360C. So much so, I just ordered one. Will need to update my BlendMount with a new adapter. (Next stop).

Are the power connections the same as the Max-II or will I need to order a new MirrorTap cable?

Happy to hear the information helped you in your decision. If your experience is anything like mine, you will be very happy with your purchase.

Yes, the power connection is the same. I am hardwired to the ignition circuit and after changing out the Blendmount, it was just a matter of plugging the 360c in to the existing connector.
