Default Radio Interferance

My Solo3 interferes with my FM car radio by creating a fair amount of static, especially if pulling in a station from any distance.

I have a 2012 Nissan Xterra and have the detector mounted on the windshield roughly in the middle above the dash.

Same behavior with power cord or batteries only.

Do others have this situation? Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Switch to XM radio.

Could be its location relative to the radio or antenna. I have gotten this with some electronics. Never had a Solo though.

First time I think I have seen this on the forum here. If you hold the Solo away from the windshield does the noise go away? Maybe the Solo is acting up, maybe something in your stereo antenna is not properly shielded, maybe something else in the vehicles electrical system is acting up.
