Default X80 Bluetooth

Why doesn't the X80 automatically connect to bluetooth when it already paired? Each time I enter the vehicle I have to manually connect the bluetooth through the Live App, very inconvenient. Also, the speed does not show up on the detector, it never has. Only the Bluetooth symbol and battery voltage

My X80 also does not automatically connect to bluetooth when it already paired? Each time I enter the vehicle I have to manually connect the bluetooth through the Live App. Using iPhone 5s running 11.0.1.

You'll need to continue doing what you are doing as Escort Radar needs to fix Escort Live for IOS 11.

It's been a know problem since the IOS 11 beta release 5 months ago. (Refer to the other threads on this subject)

It's a known and frustrating issue. Escort is still looking into it with Apple.

Should we find a solution that we can deliver through our products, then we will offer it this way (either via an Escort Live update or a device firmware update). Otherwise it will involve Apple updating iOS 11.

Escort knows about it.

I don't work for Escort. I'm just a customer who helps out in the forum for free.

I hear you. At the same time, I see the developer beta release notes and no where in the release notes or developer forum do I see anything relating to this. The list of "known issues" from Apple shows nothing pertaining to a classic bluetooth, escort live or IOS 11 issue. So, ER can say they are working with Apple about it, but that would mean it would show up as a "known issue". It does not.

Escort knows about the issue, apple seems to be having some issues with 11.

iOS 11.0.1 update causes havoc for some iPhone and iPad users

"While iOS 11.0.1 did indeed fix the email issue, it did nothing for the myriad of issues that users have been complaining about on Twitter, Apple's official support forums, and Reddit. Widespread reports highlight problems ranging from poor battery life -- surprise, surprise -- to crashes, lock-ups, poor Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and frame drops.

But it seems that iOS 11.0.1 has added to these issues, with users complaining that this release is even more unstable, with some claiming that constant crashes and lockups have essentially made their devices unusable."

~

"And the complaints go on and on and on.

But help is on the way. Apple has already pushed out a beta of iOS 11.1 to testers, and initial reports suggest that this update goes some way to fixing at least some of these issues.

My advice, as always, is that if you rely on your iPhone or iPad and don't want to be inconvenienced by problems, hold off upgrading for a few weeks until Apple gets a few updates out and things calm down."

7 Things to Know About the iPhone SE iOS 11.0.1 Update

"iPhone SE iOS 11.0.1 problems include downloads getting stuck, crashes, battery drain, problems connecting to Bluetooth devices, issues with the Mail app, problems with the new Podcasts app, speaker issues, and problems with various third-party apps. If you're dealing with problems you aren't alone.

We don't know when Apple will roll out its next update, it could be tomorrow it could be at the end of the month, so you'll need to be proactive."

https://www.gottabemobile.com/7-thin...pdate/?gbmsl=3
"If you decide you can no longer tolerate iOS 11.0.1's performance or iOS 11's features you can drop back down to an older version of iOS.

Apple's still signing off on iOS 10.3.3 which allows you to take advantage of a loophole and downgrade from iOS 11.

You can also drop back down to iOS 11.0 if the original version of iOS 11 was treating your iPhone SE better than iOS 11.0.1.

There's no way to drop back to anything older than iOS 10.3.3. So if you're running an older version of iOS, you need to be extremely careful with iOS 11.

If you're looking to move off iOS 11.0.1 need to make your move pretty quick here. Apple typically closes up the downgrade within a few weeks of an update's release and once the loophole is closed it's closed forever."

New iOS 11.0.1 Update Causes More Problems Than Fixes for Apple Devices

"According to a report from Forbes, Apple has quickly rushed the iOS 11.0.1 out as a fix to the original software update but its been causing more problems than it fixes. Complaints on Reddit and Twitter have detailed performance issues, battery life reduction, app crashes, lock screen freezes, and Bluetooth and WiFi connection drops. Users also complain of overall system instability."

Default X80

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I'm not quite sure what I did but I now have the speed limit and current speed displayed. If I remember correctly I had to close out the app twice and restart it, connect the bluetooth and only then did I get the speed limit and current speed to be displayed. I'm not sure about the accuracy of the X80 as i have come upon a police car while on the Interstae and the X80 never did go off. Maybe the State Police car didn't have his radar on, but I doubt that, however I have no way of knowing
