Default Escort 9500ci Passport turn off "Acquiring GPS Signal"

Hi all, I am new here but I have a Escort 9500ci Passport and I need to turn off "Acquiring GPS Signal". It is driving me crazy. I make my business calls from the car and in the middle of a call it announces "Acquiring GPS Signal"

Can I turn it off?????

Yes, you can turn it off by turning off GPS in the detector's settings. You will lose all GPS features until you turn GPS back on.

It should only say this when you enter a tunnel, parking garage, etc.
