Default Why even get a radar detector w/o arrows?

You can't tell if they are behind you, side street of you, or in front of you.

Because the only stealth detectors with arrows are only available from authorized installation dealers and canít be ordered by consumers for them to install themselves.

I live in VA and the nearest installer is a couple of hundred miles away.

I use a Redline EX and a ZR5 (which I installed myself). If I were given the option, I would have purchased and installed a MAX CI 360 and would have arrows and stealth.

Why do you care? If the detector goes off, just slow down.

I have a 360 and the arrows are great. I like knowing if I have passed the threat or if its in front of me, especially when i cannot visually see the threat.

Having had RDs without arrows for years, then getting them, made me decide instantly that I'd never go back to not having them.

Their use in pinpointing the source is invaluable, and this goes twice for their use at night when all you can see is headlights in front and back with no other way to locate or identify the source.
The arrows coupled with the signal strength meter makes a potent combo for rapid source identification.

i posted an encounter yesterday where i passed a cop i thought i/o'd me but the real threat was ahead of me.
in a case like that, arrows will let the driver know there are multiple threats or the threat has passed ad the driver can decide what to do from there.
