Question Warning Distance for marked Traps

I have a concern which I would ask a better informed member of this forum to help answer for me, please.

Should not the pre-set warning distance of 1/3 of a mile for a marked Speed Trap be increased ( or is it already) if one is using Highway mode and driving 40MPH +, since the driver does not know if he/she may be hit by radar or laser, and we all know that Leo's may use laser at much greater distances?

I am presuming that the Auto sensitivity feature of the GPS based detectors detects the actual speed of the vehicle and can adjust the warning distance accordingly. Comments please. Thanks.
