The ZR4 with Veil does just fine for me. It even does better with Mem-Tek's custom LED's. Remember the key is enough time to slow down.

The same thing happened to me just a couple of days ago. Some of you know what the front end of my car looks like. I had an encounter with the NY State Police a few days ago. I was hit twice in the front at around 500' or less, and I forgot to double-tap the mute button also. There was no time for me to do it, as I was in very heavy traffic.

X2 happya$$! JTG is not the best thing for us to do intentionally or unintentionally. The key is to have enough time to slow down and pass the LEO without raising any eyebrows.

The shifter output gets killed the instant you double tap the mute button, but the shifters still continue to alert when they are detecting laser.

Maybe it only got the first mute tap to mute it and not the 2nd to kill it?? I would have hit it a couple more times until i got an off message.

I read the GOL review, I recently purchased a 9500ix for my 08 GT. How effective would a ZR4 system be for the SC/GA area. 2008 mustang GT.

Hi cegha,

Eeek! The linked web site is down for maintenance. Anyway, the PL3 is by far the most commonly encountered laser gun in GA and the ZR4 eats this laser gun for lunch. I'm not sure what laser guns are commonly used in SC though.

sorry, car domain was working last night when i posted that link. There down today doing maintenance. Here is a link to my photobucket with pics.

Torch red GT, both upper and lower grille's are made from black plastic. No chrome on the front of my car. The front corner turn signals were replaced with black ones, so they arn't amber. Which should give them less places to target me.

I believe if I did go with this, it would be best to mount the jammer devices just behind my grille?
