The North American Windows version of Detector Tools has been updated to restore some functionality with Passport iQ, SmartCord Live (Escort Live) coiled and direct wire cords and SmartRadar. Detector Tools is now also fully compliant with Windows 8.
After you run Detector Tools it should ask to be updated. Please confirm and allow it to auto-update. Should the auto-update fail then please un-install and re-install Detector Tools. To do this, go to "Add/Remove Programs" or "Programs And Features" in Windows Control Panel. Uninstall Detector Tools then re-install the latest version by downloading it from our website here Let us know if you have any issues with Detector Tools. Thank you

FYI I'm running Windows 8 64bits and I have no problem with installing DT, uninstalling DT, updating DT (manual or automatic update), no USB problem, and my iQ is still detected every time.
![]() With DT 1.11.5
I then uninstalled DT 1.11.5. I didn't have the previous version, but I took an older one : Detector Tools 1.9.3 (October 2012). With DT 1.9.3
Can you have a look to solve this backing up datas issue with DT 1.11.5 ? TIA ![]()

Hi Everyone,
I am using Passport IQ for almost 1 year and had no serious problem at all. (except sometimes alert keeps on although there is no signal source is around and when I turn off and on again it is fixed) Anyway my problem is about windows 7 (64 bit) driver of detector tool. I fresh downloaded over and over again and followed the instructions and installed the "Escort Detector Tools v1_11_21" but windows can't recognize the Passport IQ. I checked all my Hard Drive if it is installed somewhere else but there is no driver file on my disk named "PASSPORTIQ.inf" Also windows can't find the proper driver file by itself. ![]() Have you guys any solution for that? PS. When I plugged PassportIQ in via usb port to my PC and turn it on it says "Connected" on the screen and it remains until plugged out. Last edited by qubaby; August 5th, 2014 at 10:11 AM. This is what it should do. Have you tried updating your iQ's Defender database with Detector Tools yet?
