Default Escort Passport 1620x50-0 Pairing with New Android Phones

Help I got a new phone and have never been able to find my Passport as a nearby Bluetooth device.

Here's what I've tried:

Restarting phone and going into Bluetooth settings and searching for devices

Restarting the Passport to see if it becomes visible ever

Updating the Passport firmware and repeating the above steps.

Is there something that I can do on the detector itself to turn on Pairing mode like other Bluetooth devices?

I'm assuming it worked find with your 'old' phone?

That RD looks pretty sun-baked in the photos!

What phone and OS are you running?

There is nothing you need to do on the detector to get it to pair. If you did not unpair it from the old device then as long as the old device is no longer in range, the Passport should show up as an available bluetooth device on your new phone. It can take several seconds or close to a minute to show up. Turning the phone's bluetooth off and on can help too.

If you continue to have issues pairing it then, while you are trying to pair it, please contact our customer service department at the number in my signature below.

Yes it paired fine with my old Nexus 6. Now I have a Nexus 6p running Android 7.1.2.

The old phone, I've actually sold, so it's far out of range. When I try and pair I something see a MAC address show up in my phone's available devices list, but it fails to pair with that. I've never seen the device with a name of Passport like my old phone.
